METU’s Horizon Europe MSCA Staff Exchanges Project Successes

We are proud to share that our university's researchers have been awarded funding for three major project successes under the Horizon Europe Programme MSCA Staff Exchanges 2025 call (HORIZON-MSCA-2025-SE-01-01).
Gastro-Fib
Gastrointestinal Structuring of Agro-Industrial Dietary Fibres: From Green Extraction to Predictive Engineering
Prof. Dr. Mecit Halil Öztop, faculty member of the Department of Food Engineering and Advisor to the President, has been awarded funding as consortium coordinator, achieving a full score during the evaluation of the Gastro-Fib project.
Through international staff exchanges, the project will investigate the development and health effects of dietary fibres derived from agro-industrial by-products.
SAFE-DADA
Molecular Science Against Falsified Drugs and Drug Hazards
Prof. Dr. Mecit Halil Öztop, faculty member of the Department of Food Engineering and Advisor to the President, has been awarded funding as a consortium partner in the SAFE-DADA project.
Through staff exchanges, the project will conduct innovative studies focusing on the detection of falsified and substandard medicines at the molecular level.
VISIONS of the Past
Visual Archives and the History of Archaeology
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pelin Yoncacı Arslan, faculty member of the Department of Architecture, has been awarded funding as a consortium partner in the VISIONS of the Past project.
Through staff exchanges, the project will examine the critical role of visual archives in the production, circulation, and interpretation of archaeological knowledge.
