METU Project Development Office (PGO) operates with the vision of maximizing our university's research excellence and building a world-class research ecosystem.
Our main objective is to provide proactive support to our academicians during the design phase of strategic, multidisciplinary, and large-scale research projects that will increase METU's scientific competitiveness on a global scale.

In the process extending from the idea stage to the application, we support the transformation of innovative ideas into fundable projects by providing strategic guidance to our researchers, from developing the project structure to establishing a strong consortium.
Strategic Project Development
Identifying suitable calls, positioning the project idea in line with call expectations, and transforming it into a competitive project structure.
One-on-One Proposal Writing Support
Strengthening the main sections of the project structure and application through one-on-one sessions, providing feedback and guidance in line with evaluation criteria.
Global Partnerships and Collaborations
Providing support for the establishment and structuring of international consortia and the development of strategic collaborations with academia, industry, public, and civil society actors.
Capacity Building
Organizing special info days aimed at improving institutional research capacity and training programs specific to calls such as MSCA and ERC.
Holistic Project Design
Holistic integration of Horizon Europe's horizontal requirements, such as open science, inclusiveness, integration of social sciences and humanities, ethics, and data management, into the project design.
