Research Management at METU
Research activities at METU consist of complementary tasks such as the development of research policies, provision of project support, execution of financial and administrative processes, development of university-industry collaborations, and coordination of research infrastructures.
These tasks are carried out in collaboration and coordination among specialized units. The organizational structure and unit descriptions below have been prepared to help researchers identify the correct unit for the services they need.

It supports the determination and implementation of the University's research strategies; ensures the general coordination of research activities and the cooperation among relevant units.

Teknokent Project Management and Consulting Office
It operates within METU Teknokent. It provides the necessary support for university researchers to benefit from international externally funded research and development projects, especially European Union Framework Programs.

Revolving Fund Management Directorate
It carries out the processes related to project, consultancy, training, and testing services conducted by university researchers within the scope of the Revolving Fund Enterprise. Project applications are evaluated by the relevant commission.

PROJECT TRANSACTIONS
Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit
It executes the budget and personnel transactions of research and development projects carried out at the University. It ensures the coordination of Scientific Research Projects supported from the University budget.

KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER
Technology Transfer Office
It takes part in the processes of developing university-industry collaborations, protecting academic inventions, and commercialization. It supports relevant processes from patent application to company establishment.

FUND AND PROJECT SUPPORT
Project Support Office
It provides support to researchers in the processes of accessing, applying for, and managing projects funded by national and international external sources, particularly European Union Framework Programs and TÜBİTAK programs.
CCO
CENTERS AND RESEARCH INFRASTRUCTURES
Centers Coordination Office
It manages the coordination of Application and Research Centers, the tracking of Presidency of Strategy and Budget investment projects, the execution of the SAYP Program, and the processes related to the LABS portal.
