EURAXESS - Researchers in Motion is a European Commission joint venture that provides researchers with information and support services on mobility and career development opportunities in Europe. It strengthens Europe's cooperation within itself and with the world.

TÜBİTAK serves as a Bridgehead Organization (BHO) and represents Türkiye in the EURAXESS initiative of the European Commission to facilitate openness, transparency, and a merit-based approach in the recruitment processes for researchers.

HR Excellence in Research (HRS4R)
In October 2018, METU endorsed the 40 principles of the 'European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct' to secure a highly qualified and motivated research workforce. By implementing these principles through targeted Gap Analyses and Action Plans, METU aligns itself with a community of European institutions dedicated to the continuous improvement of HR practices.
