The Office of Research Coordination was established in 1994 to promote the university's research potential, strengthen the relationships between academic staff, research centers, laboratories, and units specialized in their fields and industry, and coordinate nationally and internationally funded research carried out at the university. The office consists of two sub-units: the Project Support Office and the Centers Coordination Office.

Project Support Office (PSO): Provides support across the university in accessing and managing national and international externally funded research and development resources, primarily EU Framework Programs (Horizon Europe, etc.) and TÜBİTAK projects.

Centers Coordination Office (CCO): Oversees the establishment of application and research centers affiliated with the Rectorate, coordinates their activities, monitors processes under Law No. 6550, manages the application, monitoring, and coordination of investment program projects supported by the Strategy and Budget Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, carries out the Researcher Training Program for the Defense Industry (SAYP) within the scope of University-Industry Collaboration, and coordinates the LABS portal (Laboratory and Research Infrastructure Information System) established by the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
