Building on the awareness and proposal support activities we carried out last year, it is a significant achievement that 3 out of the 8 projects funded across Türkiye under the 2025 call will be hosted at METU. We aim to further strengthen this momentum in 2026. In this context, we encourage our researchers to connect with potential candidates and take advantage of this opportunity. Key Information About the Call

Under this programme: 

• Researchers who have not resided or worked in Türkiye for more than 12 months in the last 36 months counting backwards from the application deadline (with some exceptions) can receive support. 
• Researchers planning to conduct part of their research (between 12 and 24 months) in Türkiye, or those wishing to return from abroad, can receive support. 
• Academics wishing to invite qualified researchers to their groups may apply together with a candidate researcher.
