Important Announcement: Transition to EBYS
Within our University, it has been decided that all documents prepared regarding academic staff members’ assignments in Technology Development Zones or in R&D and Design Centers will be submitted via the Electronic Document Management System (EBYS) as of 15/05/2025. Physical documents will not be accepted.

Important Financial Notice
If the company to be worked with is located in another Technology Development Zone or in an R&D and Design Center, 25% of the academic staff member’s net payment is deposited into the METU Directorate of Strategy Development.
Company Establishment Process
Request Submission
The academic staff member first contacts Technokent and submits the request to establish a company.
Document Preparation
The academic staff member whose request to establish a company is approved should prepare the documents below:
- Technokent eligibility document (Board decision printout, screenshot, etc.)
- Assignment Application and Evaluation Form: Download the form (in Turkish) ↓
- Publication list for the last 5 years
- Academic staff member’s petition/request letter
Submission of Documents
All original documents must be submitted to our Office together with a cover letter indicating the approval of the department/faculty/institute.
Administrative Board Decision
The submitted documents are placed on the agenda of the University Administrative Board for evaluation.
