EIT HEI 2026 Call — METU Internal Pre-Application Process
Dear Researchers,
The EIT Higher Education Initiative (EIT HEI) 2026 Call, implemented by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), is expected to be officially launched in the last quarter of 2026. EIT HEI aims to strengthen the capacity of higher education institutions to transform their STEM-related skills, knowledge, and research outputs into deep tech and manufacturing-focused innovation and entrepreneurship.
Project Funding Up to €1.25 M
Funding per selected project
Project Duration 18 Months
Expected implementation period
Internal Deadline 16 Nov 2026
Monday, end of business (5:00 p.m.)
Important Rule: Single Application Limit per Institution
According to the call rules, an organisation may participate in only one application under this call, regardless of its role in the project (as coordinator or partner).
As METU’s participation in more than one application could put the eligibility of all related proposals at risk, researchers planning to apply are required to inform us in advance of their intention to apply. Accordingly, an internal pre-evaluation process will be conducted to determine the single application to be submitted on behalf of METU.
* Please note that, under the call rules, organizations funded under the EIT HEI Call 2025 are not eligible to apply under the 2026 Call.
Concept Note Submission Guidelines
Researchers considering an application are kindly requested to submit a one-page concept note covering the following points by Monday, 16 November 2026, 5:00 p.m. via email to gokcem@metu.edu.tr:
- Project objective and scope,
- METU’s envisaged role in the project (coordinator / partner),
- Names, countries, and organisation types of the planned consortium partners.
Best regards,
METU Research Coordination Office
