2025 Activity Year Application Announcement
Dear Academic Staff Members, the application process for the Academic Performance Evaluation (APD) covering activities carried out during the 2025 calendar year has begun.
In accordance with the Senate decision dated 2 September 2021, all academic staff (faculty members, instructors, and research assistants) are required to apply. All application, evaluation, announcement, and objection steps will be carried out through the Academic Performance Evaluation Process Management System (APSİS); no signed hard-copy documents will be collected at any stage.
The updated "METU Academic Performance Evaluation Implementation Principles for the 2025 Activity Year" are available on this page and on the APSİS "Supporting Information" page. We kindly ask that you review the principles, as doing so will make the application process smoother.
The Academic Performance Award Principles for the 2025 Activity Year will be announced on the APSİS "Supporting Information" page and on this page once the evaluations have been completed.

Important Note — Points to Consider During the Application Process
Publication
If there is university–industry collaboration (üniversite-sanayi işbirliği), open the relevant publication via the "Detail (Detay)" button. On the "Statistics (İstatistik)" tab, mark "Yes (Evet)" for the question "Did you carry out this activity within the scope of university-industry collaboration? (Bu faaliyeti üniversite-sanayi iş birliği kapsamında mı gerçekleştirdiniz?)" and save it using the "Save (Kaydet)" button.
Project
If there is university–industry collaboration (üniversite-sanayi işbirliği), open the relevant project via the "Detail (Detay)" button. On the "Statistics (İstatistik)" tab, mark "Yes (Evet)" for the question "Did you carry out this activity within the scope of university-industry collaboration? (Bu faaliyeti üniversite-sanayi iş birliği kapsamında mı gerçekleştirdiniz?)" and save it using the "Save (Kaydet)" button.
VARSİS Declaration
To complete the academic performance application, you must declare your research output targets for 2027, 2028, and 2029 through VARSİS [Research and Development (Araştırma ve Geliştirme) → Publication and Project Application Plans (Yayın ve Proje Başvuru Planları)]. Otherwise, the application cannot be submitted; the system will display a warning when the application is started, and a link to the relevant survey will appear.
